My hobbies include working with the NALU Studies program to support at-risk and underserved youth in science, math, and native Hawaiian service learning cultural practices to help them understand the environment (‘aina). I have been a surfer my whole life and I have a board in the Smithsonian. I’ve run 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, marathons, 50K, 50 mile, and 100K distances. I also tutor underprivileged kids in science and math.
